With reference to Sir William Peel's

despatch No.198 of the 24th March, 1934, I have the
honour to inform you that I have, provisionally and
subject to His Majesty's pleasure appointed the
Honourable Mr. J.J. Paterson to be an unofficial
member of the Legislative Council for a further term
of four years with effect from the 17th April, 1934.

A copy of the instrument appointing Mr. J.J. Paterson is enclosed.

In accordance with Colonial Regulation
175 I enclose also a list of the present members of
Legislative Council.
